Christian Education

Christian Education for Children and Adults begins on the first Sunday,following Labor Day and runs until the Sunday immediately preceding Memorial Day.

Sunday School starts shortly after Holy Communion during the 10 AM Service and lasts until noon. Adult education starts shortly after the end of the service (you have time to get a cup of coffee and a snack) and also lasts until noon.

Children's Chapel

Children's Chapel occurs during the 10 o'clock service. Children in kindergarten through 3rd grade begin the service in the church, then follow the Crucifer to the Chapel on the lower level during the Hymn of Praise.

At Children's Chapel they hear the gospel of the day and do related activities at their own level. The children rejoin their parents upstairs at the offertory.

Child Care

Childcare is provided during the 10 AM service for children in kindergarten and younger.

We have a baby nursery for children from birth through age 2 and a toddler/preschool nursery for children from age 2-Kindergarten.

During the Christian Education hour (11 AM - Noon) nursery care is provided for children under the age of 3. All children age 3 and older are invited to attend Sunday School.

Childcare is also provided for special services and events as announced or requested.

Christ Church is a Handicap Accessible facility.

Pantry Food

The Pantry Food of the Month for July 2008, is peanut butter.

The Pantry is open every Wednesday all year long. Baskets are available in the High Street entrance and at the just outside the elevator on the worship level of the East enterance.

Dates To Remember

The 1st Sunday of every month - The loose offering goes to the Rector's Discrecionary Fund. This fund is used to assist people on an emergency basis.

The 15th of every month - This is the last day to submit items for publication in The Clarion, our monthly newsletter.

Christ Church News Note

Mile of Pennies: On June 22 we begin work on our 9th mile of pennies for the Church Periodical Club. We will gather and offer thanks for the pennies at both services that day. Our goal is to have our 9th mile of pennies by General Convention in July 2009.

Best Week of Summer is July 8-11. Watch the Sunday announcements for more information about registering your children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors, and about how you can help with this years BWOS (Vacation Bible School, Christ Church style).

A piece of living Christ Church history: The Rev. Bill Roberts will be with us on Sunday, June 15 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his ordination which occurred at Christ Church on June 14, 1958. Bill grew up at Christ Church and has lots of stories to tell about his adventures here growing up.

Bishop Breidenthal will be with us at both services on Sunday, June 29. This is his first "official" visit to Christ Church, although he was here last Christmas in July. There will be confirmations at both services.
